The first trailer for The Last of Us, which will be broadcast on HBO, has been released. Many things stand out in the trailer, from the characters to the moments in the original story.

It’s been exactly one year since HBO showed us the first teaser image for The Last of Us . In addition to learning that the series will be released next year, we also had the chance to see the first trailer for the series.

For about a minute and a half, we see plenty of game-inspired iconography , including information about the cordyceps virus and the red Firefly logo . We also learn about Clicker, the dreaded final stage of an infected human.

The Last of Us Series Will Be Slightly Different From The Original Story

Those who have played The Last of Us know that the protagonist Ellie is immune to such infections. This causes our other hero, Joel, to keep an eye on him. The trailer also features Anna Torv as Tess and Nick Offerman as Bill. And the video includes character appearances as well as footage that reflects the moments in the game, from the city streets to the snowy mountains.

The Last of Us Series 2023

Craig Mazin and Neill Druckmann , the directors of Chernobyl and Last of Us games, are also in the background of the series. The duo co-developed this adaptation, and Druckmann also directed several episodes. Although it has been confirmed that the series will include moments outside of the original story, the directors are expected to follow the events in the game closely. The Last of Us will air on HBO in 2023 , but a firm release date has yet to be determined.
